Vanity, Lady with lace 19 x 12 x 24 cm, Kurt Steiner, Porcelain Figures Unterweissbacher The "Aelteste Volkstedt" was founded in 1762. It is the oldest working porcelain manufactory in Thuringia. Its founding dates back to Georg Heinrich Macheleid who deciphered the composition for the right porcelain paste, the "Arkanum", in 1760. Artistic pieces from the Aeltesten Volkstedter Porzellanmanufaktur are highly regarded among connoisseurs and today fetch the highest prices in the antique trade.
